FAQ's about Tile
“What tile can be installed where?”
Wall tile can only be used on the wall; but natural stone and floor
tile can be used anywhere. Glazed ceramics cannot be used outside but
natural stone, porcelains, quarry tile, frost proof ceramics can be
used interior or exterior.
“How easy does tile chip or crack?”
When properly Installed tile becomes a permanent part of construction
and will not chip or crack unless hit with a very heavy object, or cracks
in the foundation.
“Should I use a small tile on a small floor?”
Not necessarily, you can use a larger tile in a small area to make
the room seem larger, and with less grout lines the floor will be “less
busy”.
“How do I clean my tile?”
We recommend using non-detergent
“Should I use sanded or unsanded grout?”
We recommend using sanded for any gout joint 1/8” or larger.
Sanded grout typically has larger sand allowing increased strength in
the joint.
“Do I need to seal my tile/grout?”
Only tiles that are unglazed and natural stone need to be sealed.
We do recommend sealing your grout joints.
